MAGNETIC SHIELDING FOIL"Make Your Own Conduit And Save!"
Used for years in industry to shield delicate electronic components from EMFs, this 80% nickel alloy magnetic shielding foil is now available at affordable prices for home and office use. The thinner (0.004" thick) material is easy to trim with scissors and shape by hand. Thicker material offers better shielding performance but requires snips to cut. Can be formed into magnetic barriers on cellular phones, microwave ovens, doorbell transformers, VDTs, buried wiring, and more. With snug fitting shapes, get as much as 75% attenuation of the magnetic field with one thickness. Use multiple layers for even greater reduction. Foil is available in two thicknesses and can be ordered in any length. (We recommend the use of a gaussmeter to determine the proper shape and positioning of the magnetic shield, and to confirm that the fields have been adequately reduced.)
Can be formed into cylindrical magnetic barriers around wiring to protect the shielded wire from magnetic fields originating outside the shield. Can also be placed flat against wiring to shield an area from the magnetic fields emitted by the wire. Use multiple layers for even greater reduction.

Paper Thin and Highly Effective Space-age technology has produced this unique ultra-high permeability magnetic shielding alloy. Unlike conventional shielding alloys which are nickel/iron based and depend on bulk for effectiveness, Metglas is a cobalt based alloy which is only 0.00065" thick (that's 16 microns, a red blood cell is 8 microns across)! Thinner means less material is needed. Less material means less weight and lower cost. Easy to handle, too. Cut it with a scissors, shape it with your fingers, tape it in place. Flexible and tough, with excellent corrosion resistance, it can be used indoors or out. Near-zero magnetostriction means it can be flexed over and over without losing its shielding properties. Wrap wiring, pipes, or switches. Make shields for your shavers, electric toothbrushes, hair dryers, alarm clocks or lighting ballasts. Even lay it flat (we got approximately 90% effectiveness when a 4" x 4" flat shield, was placed against the lamp cord).

Cables can act as an antenna, especially if they pass close to a strong source of radiofrequency radiation. One study has suggested that if the cable of a hands free mic passes near the phone's antenna, it can pick up some radiation and transmit it to your ear. Our ferrite snap bead is designed to reduce RF radiation in the cable. Made in 2 halves, you simply press it around the wire at any convenient location. Couldn't be simpler. It is small and lightweight enough to be almost unnoticable, yet powerful enough (50 ohm impedence minimum) to control nasty radiation. MµCord™ can be used to make extension cords and appliance cords. Simply cut wire to desired length and add a plug to one end, or plug one end and socket on the other. Easy to do with a screwdriver, instructions included. Rated for 15A – 125V
These plugs are suitable for North America. Plugs and sockets for other countries can be used, but you must obtain them locally. Color/style may vary.
Typical lamp cords, appliance cords, even the cord to your alarm clock emit strong electric fields even if the appliance is turned off. Replacing the cord with a shielded cord eliminates this source of electric field. Replacement is simple, but does require basic knowledge of wiring.

Composed of electrically conductive black polyethylene and great for shielding electrical cords. It's easy to slide any electrical cord
(even fits those giant dryer plugs!) through this 4" wide (when flat) sleeve without having to remove the plug from the end of the cord.
Surface resistivity <1000 ohms/square. Only 4 mil thick, it won't hold up to tearing, heat or abuse, but it's tough enough to do a great job on the lamp cord by your bed, the air conditioner cord, or even cables in your car. Use a grounding cable, and please be careful when handling electrical cords. Specify desired length.
