Just right for most laptops. Since most of the magnetic field from a laptop comes from the base, there is no need to shield the screen. Foil is rather stiff and will stand on its own for this size project. Use tin snips to cut it. Fold over a straight table edge or counter-top edge for a nice crisp bend. No need to ground it. Two to three linear feet of material is all that is needed for most size laptops.

For those of you who experience (or want to prevent) ES symptoms in your hands when using a computer keyboard, laptop, cell phone or other electronic devices, these gloves form a conductive enclosure and effectively shield electric fields.
